Mulqueeny Eye Centers Optical Grand Opening Raises Over $3,000 for SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center!
On Saturday, July 30, Mulqueeny Eye Centers teamed up with SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center to celebrate the Grand Opening of their new Optical Center.
The event featured a live KMOX broadcast, Fredbird, and a raffle for a free LASIK procedure to benefit the "Through the Eyes of A Child" - Mulqueeny Eye Centers Children's Fund. Drawings were also held for a free iPad, green seat tickets to the Cards/Cubs baseball game, designer sunglasses and supplies of Latisse.
We were honored to have Christopher Nicolas Armstrong, a Cardinal Glennon patient and spokesperson for the Children's Medical Center and his mom, Christy, as our special guests. A big thank you also goes out to Cardinal Glennon volunteers, Rose and Janice, who helped us tremendously during the weeks prior to the Grand Opening as well as manning the LASIK raffle booth on Saturday. Your help was greatly appreciated and the children of Cardinal Glennon are blessed to have you on their team!
Raffle ticket sales for the free LASIK procedure along with donations and a percentage of proceeds collected from the day allowed us to contribute a total of $3,372.00 to the Mulqueeny Eye Centers Children's Fund! Congratulations to Carolyn Salvato who won the free LASIK procedure for her son, Tyler!
Other winners included Betty Heller who won the green seat tickets to the Cards/Cubs game and winners Ted Ruzicka, David Hendricks and Susan Kummer will be sporting new designer sunglasses this summer!
IPad winner was Tom Heller and Teddie Hendricks and Danielle Radar were winners of a month's supply of Latisse! Congratulations to all of you!
Although we had lots of winners on Saturday, the biggest winners were the children of Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center! THANK YOU to all of our friends, family members and patients who came out to support our fund and help us celebrate the Grand Opening of our new Optical Center!
Be sure to check out photos from the event on our Facebook page...Fredbird was in rare form and even directed traffic on Ballas Road! If you haven't liked us on FB yet, make sure you do and ask all of your friends to join us as well! We'll be giving away another great prize when we reach 600 fans!
